Integrated within the Tropical Sciences Institute, the Jardim Algrícola Tropical features many rare tropical and subtropical trees and plants gathered from all over the world.
Visitors can also tour the Tropical Museum housed in an adjoining 18th century palace.
Otherwise known the Jardim do Ultramar, the park is regularly visited by leading international scientists and botanists.
