Pap'Açorda
Pap'Açorda's (Bairro alto) facade was originally conceived for a bakery,at the entrance to the Pap'Açorda, you will see intricate crystal chandeliers and saints from Portuguese chapels which contrast with the winter garden decor of the interior. Today, it welcomes one of Lisbon's most colourful collections of people (of all lifestyles and sexual persuasions) into its pink-and-white interior. Most visitors order a before-dinner drink at the long marble-topped bar, which dominates the front of the restaurant. This is a gaudy, friendly, and democratic eatery. It's the place to try the national dish: açorda (bread and shellfish stew served in a clay) and the chocolate mousse, a must!
For dinner you must reserve a table, there are only two timetables allowed, 20.30 hr or 22.30 hr.
Close at 23.30 hr - Closed Monday lunchtime and Sunday
