Cascais: In the last years Cascais has been chosen as a privileged seat for the Euro Cup competition of formula windsurfing. The environtment ; the sun ; the wind consis-tence and regularity from April to september and the great infraestructure of the zone offers a perfect training camp for the racers also.

Carcavelos: If you prefer a different option; just driving 20 minutes in Lisbon direction for the “Marginal” (coast highway) you will find a more accessible beach called Carvacelos; a long white sandy beach known as a popular surf spot but converted in windsurfing one during summer time.
To windsurf here the wind is side-off shore (Nortada) so you'll find really nice tubular waves from 0,5 to 1 meter and after flat water and consistent wind. Advanced and experts only.
Carcavelos is a really populated urban beach (the train arrives there from Lisbon) that has also an skate park and lots of “cafés” that creates a really cool surf ambient.
